Why do I need a Registered Agent? |
Entities formed under Delaware
law are required by statute to appoint a Registered Agent. The
Registered Agent must be present at a designated location
in the State, to accept service of process and otherwise
perform the functions of a Registered Agent for the entity.
Essentially, the law requires that there is a designated
person/entity available to accept legal notice and ensure
that such important information is received by the entity.
(8 Del. C. 132; 6 Del. C. 17-104; 6 Del. C. 18-104). |
